Lucy Grist
Founder / Veterinary microbiologist / Infection surveillance
Lucy began her career in Veterinary microbiology at the University of Surrey. Whilst studying for an Undergraduate degree in Veterinary Biosciences, she undertook a placement training year working as an Infection Control officer for a veterinary referral practice. The placement was pivotal to the direction that her career later took, and is also when she and Charlotte first began working together!
Lucy continued to work in veterinary diagnostic laboratories after graduating and later returned to Surrey in 2016 to undertake a PhD in veterinary microbiology.
Charlotte Bailey
Co-founder / Veterinary microbiologist / Infection surveillance
Charlotte also began her career studying Veterinary Biosciences at the University of Surrey. The opportunity to undertake a professional training year as an infection control officer for a referral practice is where her interest in this subject developed into a career goal.
After graduating, Charlotte worked in several different roles in veterinary practices and laboratories, and has extensive experience both in and out of the lab having also worked in pharmaceuticals, management and teaching.
